Tamari Tofu Burger
- 500 grams tofu firm, cut into 4 thick slices
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce, tamari light
- 1 each red chili peppers finely sliced
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 75 grams salad dressing baby asian
- 1 each carrots grated
- 2 each scallions, spring or green onions sliced lengthways
- 1/2 cup coriander sprigs
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 x buns toasted wholemeal, to serve
- Put tofu in a shallow bowl or plate.
- Mix together tamari, chilli and sugar and pour over tofu; marinate for as long as time permits.
- Lightly spray a non-stick pan or char-grill with cooking spray and cook tofu over medium heat until browned and heated through.
- Remove and set aside.
- Meanwhile, toss salad ingredients together; whisk fish sauce, lime juice and sugar and pour over salad.
- Mix well to combine.
- Divide salad amongst four bun bases and top with tofu and lid.
