Singapore Sling

• 2 ice cubes
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
• 2 or 3 ounces gin
• 1/2 ounce cherry brandy
• Water
• Slice of orange or sprig of mint (optional)

1. Combine the ice, lemon juice, sugar and gin in a highball glass.
2. Fill with cold water and stir.
