Beef Pot Roast Chinese Style Recipe

  1. Dredge meat with flour and brown on all sides in fat in heavy kettle or possibly Dutch oven.
  2. Put a rack in kettle under meat.
  3. Add in water, ginger and soy sauce.
  4. Cover and simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
  5. Add in onions and simmer 1/2 hour longer or possibly till onions are tender.
  6. Remove the meat and slice it.
  7. Pour the drippings and onions over the sliced meat.
  8. Serve with fluffy dry rice.
  9. Makes 4 servings.
