Chile Con Carne
- 400 grams Kidney beans (or mixed beans, chickpeas, soy beans etc.)
- 250 grams Ground meat mix
- 100 grams Bacon (minced as the same size as the ground meat)
- 2 Onions (large)
- 4 Green bell peppers
- 1 small Carrot
- 2 clove Garlic
- 2 Canned tomatoes
- 1 tbsp * Cumin
- 1 tbsp or more *Chili powder
- 2 tbsp *Ketchup
- 1 tbsp *Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
- 1 tbsp * Garlic and soy sauce (normal soy sauce)
- 1 * Soup stock cube
- 200 ml *Water (leftover from rehydrating the beans)
- 1 tsp * Oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp *Salt
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp White flour
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp White wine (or cooking sake)
- 1 Bay leaf
- Chop the vegetables roughly into the same size.
- Heat oil in a pot and fry the garlic.
- Once it's fragrant, add the onions and fry until soft.
- Add the ground meat, brown over high heat, and then add the white wine.
- Reduce heat to medium, adding the remaining vegetables and flour and coat the mixture with the flour evenly.
- Add the canned tomatoes, beans, water, * ingredients, and bay leaf, and boil for about 40 minutes.
- Stir while scraping the bottom of the pot to avoid burning, and season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer into bowls and it's done.
- Eat with bread or tortillas.
