Frangipane

  1. Combine almond paste, sugar, egg and egg yolk in mixing bowl.
  2. Beat with paddle on medium speed until smooth.
  3. Add butter in 3 additions; beat until light.
  4. Lower mixer speed to low; beat in flour until absorbed.
  5. Combine sugar and liquid in a small saucepan and stir to a creamy consistency.
  6. Heat to luke-warm over low heat, stirring constantly.
  7. Apply warm; reheat if necessary.
