Pizza Sauce and Dough

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water.
  2. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
  3. In a food processor, combine flour, Italian seasoning and salt.
  4. Pulse until mixed.
  5. Add yeast mixture, flat beer and oil.
  6. Pulse until a ball is formed.
  7. Scrape dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead for several minutes until dough is smooth.
  8. To make the sauce: Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  9. Saute onions until tender.
  10. Stir in garlic, and cook for 1 minute.
  11. Crush tomatoes into saucepan.
  12. Add tomato paste, basil, parsley and oregano.
  13. Simmer for 10 minutes.
