Beef And Macaroni Casserole

  1. Heat 2 T of the oil in lg skillet, saute onions until tender.
  2. Add garlic, celery, and beef; cook until beef is done.
  3. Add broth, tomato paste, tomatoes, salt and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  5. Stir occasionally, add more broth if mixture becomes too thick.
  6. Preheat oven to 350*.
  7. Heat remaining oil, saute mushrooms briefly.
  8. Add to sauce with oregano and basil.
  9. Add macaroni and spinach.
  10. Pour into buttered 3qt casserole dish.
  11. Top with crumbs mixed with the cheese.
  12. Bake for 40-50 minutes, until bubbly hot.
