Delicious Onion Dressing That Can Be Stored
- 1 large New harvest sweet onion (grated)
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 50 ml Sake
- 50 ml Mirin
- 75 ml Soy sauce
- 50 ml Vinegar (to taste, less is ok)
- 75 ml Vegetable oil
- 1 Pepper
- Make the onion ready.
- Grate the onion.
- You can also use a food processor to blitz it until it's in a liquid state.
- Put the grated onion and the ingredients in a pan, and bring to a boil.
- Skim off the scum that comes to the surface carefully.
- After all the scum is removed, simmer for 2 minutes.
- If you're using a regular onion, simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, and add the ingredients (vinegar, oil, pepper) and mix well to finish!
- Transfer to a closed container.
- It keeps in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks!
