Northwest Bounty Bruschetta

  1. Brush bread with 2 T oil and broil until golden, turning once, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a frying pan over medium heat, saute onion with remaining oil until golden.
  3. Add apple and syrup, cook 5 minutes.
  4. Let cool slightly.
  5. Stir in cherries, horseradish, and cheese.
  6. Spoon over toast and top with nuts.
