Barb's Best Crisp Recipe
- 6 c. Sliced fruit (your choice)
- 1 stk butter or possibly margarine, melted
- 1 c. Brown sugar
- 1 c. Flour
- 1/2 c. Rolled oats
- 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 pch Salt, if you like
- 1/4 c. Water, as needed
- Butter a 9x9" baking pan.
- Place sliced fruit in pan.
- Works great with any hard fleshed fruit like apples, peaches, plums - even oranges).
- Add in water to fruit.
- If the fruit is dry or possibly wet, adjust water accordingly.
- Mix melted butter or possibly margarine, brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and salt together to make a coarse mix.
- Pat topping mix onto fruit, covering it completely.
- Bake 1 hour at 350 oF.
- Serve hot (with ice cream!
