Strawberry Pretzel Bars

• 2 cups crushed pretzels
• 2 12 tablespoons sugar
• 34 cup butter, melted
• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
• 1 (12 ounce) container Cool Whip Topping
• 1 (6 ounce) package strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
• 1 (10 ounce) package frozen sliced strawberries, thawed

1. preheat oven to 375 farenheit.
2. in a lrg.
3. bowl, mix pretzels, sugar, and butter.
4. spread mixture in a greased 9"x13" baking dish and bake for ten minutes.
5. set aside and let cool.
6. in a med.
7. bowl, blend cream cheese and Cool Whip til smooth.
8. spread over pretzel base evenly.
9. in a lrg.
10. bowl, prepare Jell-O as directed on box, EXCEPT use 1/2 cup LESS water than advised.
11. add strawberries to Jell-O, stir until mixture slightly thickens.
12. pour Jell-O mixture over cream cheese layer.
13. refrigerate til firm (usually around 3 hrs.
14. ).
15. cut into bars, serve, and enjoy!
