Buttermilk Panna Cotta With Strawberry Coulis Recipe

  1. In small saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over 2 Tbsp.
  2. (25 mL) of the cream; let stand for 5 min.
  3. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring often, till dissolved.
  4. In separate saucepan, heat together remaining cream, sugar and vanilla over medium heat till steaming; remove from heat.
  5. Stir in gelatin mix and buttermilk.
  6. Pour into six 6-oz (175 mL) ramekins.
  7. Cover and chill till set, about 4 hrs.
  8. (Make-ahead: Chill for up to 2 days.)
  9. Strawberry Coulis:In food processor, crush strawberries till smooth; press through fine strainer into bowl.
  10. Run knife around edge of each ramekin; turn out onto dessert plate.
  11. Drizzle coulis attractively onto plate.
