Buttermilk Panna Cotta With Strawberry Coulis Recipe
- 1 Tbsp. unflavoured gelatin
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 c. buttermilk Strawberry Coulis
- 1 x 425 g package frzn strawberries, in syrup, thawed
- In small saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over 2 Tbsp.
- (25 mL) of the cream; let stand for 5 min.
- Heat over medium-low heat, stirring often, till dissolved.
- In separate saucepan, heat together remaining cream, sugar and vanilla over medium heat till steaming; remove from heat.
- Stir in gelatin mix and buttermilk.
- Pour into six 6-oz (175 mL) ramekins.
- Cover and chill till set, about 4 hrs.
- (Make-ahead: Chill for up to 2 days.)
- Strawberry Coulis:In food processor, crush strawberries till smooth; press through fine strainer into bowl.
- Run knife around edge of each ramekin; turn out onto dessert plate.
- Drizzle coulis attractively onto plate.
