Chilled Pasta with Avocado and Basil Sauce

  1. Boil a generous amount of water in a pot, add salt (not listed in ingredients) and boil pasta 1 minute longer than instructed on the package.
  2. While the pasta is boiling, chop the tomato into bite-sized pieces and chop the avocado into small cubes.
  3. Mince the onion.
  4. Combine the ingredients from Step 2 with the tuna and ingredients.
  5. Drain the pasta and chill with chilled (ice) water and thoroughly drain.
  6. Toss with the ingredients from Step 3 and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Addendum I use a mild ponzu sauce.
  8. Gradually adjust the saltiness and acidity to taste.
