College Student's Easy Red Beans and Rice

  1. Prepare rice according to package instructions.
  2. After rice has absorbed the water, add remaining ingredients and simmer until warm (about 5 extra minutes).
  3. If you like the Louisiana heat of red beans and rice, use freshly ground peppercorns.
