Delicious Chinese Style Rice Bowl
- 200 grams Pork
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 thumb of ginger Grated ginger
- 1/2 Carrot
- 1/2 Onion
- 3 leaves Chinese cabbage
- 4 Shiitake mushrooms
- 3 Cloud ear mushrooms (rehydrated)
- 1 Quail eggs
- 1 thumb of ginger Ginger (julienned)
- 1 Sesame oil
- 300 ml Water
- 1 tbsp each Chinese flavouring granules, Soy sauce, Sake
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp + 1 tablespoon Katakuriko + water
- Cut the vegetables into suitable pieces, and bring to room temperature.
- Slice the pork into bite size pieces.
- Rub the ingredients marked as into the pork and bring to the room temperature.
- Mix the ingredients for the soup.
- Heat vegetable oil (not listed) and the ginger to a pan.
- Stir fry the pork and when the colour changes to white, add the harder vegetables (carrot) first, then soft ones.
- When they are coated in oil, add the soup.
- Bring to a boil, and add the quail eggs.
- Check the soup flavour, and add salt and pepper if necessary.
- Pour in the katakuriko dissolved in water.
- When it has thickened, drizzle sesame oil evenly in the pan.
- Done!
