Nana's Sausage Gravy

  1. Brown sausage in a large skillet, breaking up with a spoon.
  2. Remove sausage from skillet, reserve all drippings.
  3. Whisk drippings and 3 tablespoons flour together, then slowly add the skim milk, whisking until smooth.
  4. Season with garlic salt, fresh ground black pepper and dried sage.
  5. Adjust seasonings if needed.
  6. For a thinner gravy, add additional skim milk, 3 tablespoons at a time, until desired consistency is achieved.
  7. Serve over biscuits or toast.
