Maple French Toast in Kouign Amann-style
- 2 English muffins
- 1 Egg
- 100 ml Milk
- 20 grams Salted butter
- 2 tbsp Cake syrup (maple-flavor)
- Crack an egg into a bowl.
- Add milk and beat well with a whisk.
- Break open an English muffin into 2 pieces and soak into the liquid prepared in Step 1.
- Melt butter in a frying pan heated over medium heat, and fry one side first.
- When the other side has also browned, drizzle cake syrup from the edges of the pan.
- Making sure not to burn it, shake the pan and caramelize.
- Do the same for the other side.
- Here, I topped it with ice cream and served with maple syrup.
