Yanagawa-Style Beef
- 200 grams or more Thinly sliced beef
- 1 Burdock root
- 2 Eggs
- 1 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 2 tbsp Water
- 1 Vegetable oil
- Shred the burdock root and soak in a bowl of water, then drain.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the burdock root and stir-fry over high heat.
- Once the burdock root has wilted, add the ingredients marked .
- Place the beef on top of the burdock root without mixing, until it the beef cooks through.
- This should be done over medium heat.
- Once the beef cooks through, evenly pour in the beaten eggs and cover the pot with a lid.
- Turn off the heat.
- Once the eggs are soft set, it's done.
