Southern Style Sausage Dressing Recipe
- 1 pound Jimmy Dean pork sausage, reg. or possibly special recipe
- 1 c. minced celery
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1 recipe biscuits, crumbled (about 5 c.)
- 1 recipe cornbread, crumbled (about 5 c.)
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cans (14 1/2 ounce. each) chicken broth (about 4 c.)
- Saute/fry sausage, celery and onion.
- In large bowl, combine sausage mix and remaining ingredients; blend well.
- Stuff mix into birds and roast according to standard roasting directions.
- Mix may also be baked in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till lightly browned.
- Makes about 12 c. or possibly 10-12 servings.
