Spicy Basil and Black Olive Pasta Sauce
- 1 whole Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic, Diced
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1/2 cups Black Olives, Pitted And Halved
- 1 can (14.5 Oz. Size) Diced Tomatoes
- 3 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 1 can (4 Oz. Size) Roasted Green Chili Peppers, Diced
- 1/4 cups Fresh Basil, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Red Pepper Flakes (omit If You Dont Like Spice)
- 1 pinch Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 1 Tablespoon Arrowroot Flour Or Cornstarch
- Pasta, To Serve

- Saute onion and garlic in the olive oil on medium heat for about 3 minutes.
- 2.
- Add in olives, tomatoes, tomato paste, chili peppers, basil and red pepper flakes and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- 3.
- Spoon 3/4 of the mixture into a blender and add arrowroot flour.
- Blend until smooth.
- 4.
- Add the blended sauce back into the pan and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 5.
- Serve over pasta and garnish as desired.
- I grated some fresh parmesan and topped with chopped green onions.
