Gluten Free Mozzarella Sticks
- 1 whole Egg
- 2 cups Rice Chex Cereal
- 4 Tablespoons Gluten Free Flour
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 8 pieces (1 Oz. Piece) Mozzarella String Cheese (like Frigo)
- 1/2 cups Vegetable Oil, For Frying
- Beat egg in a bowl and set aside.
- In another bowl, crush Rice Chex cereal until it resembles panko crumbs.
- Add the gluten-free flour, Italian seasoning and blend it together by hand.
- Cut each mozzarella string cheese in halves to equal 16 mini pieces.
- Dip each string cheese piece into the egg and then dredge in the crumb mixture.
- Place on a plate and put the plate of breaded sting cheese into the fridge to keep cool while your oil is heating up.
- Heat up oil in a frying pan on medium high heat.
- Cook half of the mozzarella sticks at a time by placing each one into the hot oil.
- It will really only take about 30 seconds on each side to cook.
- Then do the remaining half.
- Serve with marinara dipping sauce.
