Gluten Free Mozzarella Sticks

  1. Beat egg in a bowl and set aside.
  2. In another bowl, crush Rice Chex cereal until it resembles panko crumbs.
  3. Add the gluten-free flour, Italian seasoning and blend it together by hand.
  4. Cut each mozzarella string cheese in halves to equal 16 mini pieces.
  5. Dip each string cheese piece into the egg and then dredge in the crumb mixture.
  6. Place on a plate and put the plate of breaded sting cheese into the fridge to keep cool while your oil is heating up.
  7. Heat up oil in a frying pan on medium high heat.
  8. Cook half of the mozzarella sticks at a time by placing each one into the hot oil.
  9. It will really only take about 30 seconds on each side to cook.
  10. Then do the remaining half.
  11. Serve with marinara dipping sauce.
