Tania's Onion Soup
- 2 12 cups onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 (10 ounce) canscondensed bouillon
- 2 soup cans water
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 6 rounds french bread
- 14 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- Saute onion rings in butter over low heat until yellow.
- Slowly add bouillon and water.
- Heat until simmering, then add bouillon cubes and pepper.
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle rounds of bread with grated cheese and place under broiler.
- Heat until golden brown.
- Top each serving with a toast round.
- Serve with grated parmesan cheese on the side, if desired.
