Praline Frosting #1

  1. Combine brown sugar with buttermilk -- butter, baking soda and maple syrup in saucepan.
  2. Cook, stirring occasionally until mixture reaches soft boil stage 234 on thermometer.
  3. Pour into a small mixing bowl.beat at high speed till creamy.
  4. Use immediately.
  5. Spread over top of cake, allowing it to drizzle down the sides.
  6. Leave on wire rack till set.
  7. This makes enough for a 10" tube cake.
