Traditional Irish Soda Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. Cut in butter with flour mix.
  4. Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, and any optional ingredients.
  5. Lightly knead into two loaves, be sure not too sticky, and not too over worked.
  6. Put into a 350F oven for approximately for 45 minutes, or till sounds hollow when hit on the bottom of the bread.
