Sparkling Fruit Gelees

  1. Sprinkle gelatin over 23 cup wine in a small saucepan, and let stand 5 minutes.
  2. Place saucepan over low heat; cook 5 minutes or until gelatin dissolves, stirring constantly.
  3. Combine sugar and 23 cup wine in a medium saucepan over medium heat; cook 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves, stirring the mixture frequently.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in remaining 113 cups wine.
  5. Add gelatin mixture and lemon juice, stirring well.
  6. Divide mixture evenly among 8 (6-ounce) Champagne flutes or wineglasses.
  7. Combine the strawberries and remaining ingredients.
  8. Stir about 1/2 cup fruit mixture into each glass; cover and chill 6 hours or overnight.
