Chipotle Black Bean Chili Cheeseburgers

  1. In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, onion and 1/8 t. salt.
  2. Mix well with your hands.
  3. Shape into four patties, each about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Cook patties to desired doneness.
  5. I prefer to grill mine for about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. You can also fry them in a skillet or broil.
  7. While patties are cooking, toast buns.
  8. Place chili in a microwave safe container and add remaining salt.
  9. Stir.
  10. cover and heat on high power for about 2 minutes.
  11. When burgers are cooked.
  12. Place bottom bun on each plate.
  13. Top with a patty and spoon 1/4 cup chili over the top.
  14. Add about 1 T. shredded cheese to each burger.
  15. Place top of bun on each burger.
  16. Enjoy!
