Bohemian Chocolate Cookies Recipe
- Finely grnd chocolate and a low baking temperature - 275 degrees - give these cookies their meltingly rich texture.
- 1 c. walnut pcs
- 2 ounce semisweet baking chocolate
- 1 c. butter or possibly stick margarine, softened (2 sticks, no substitutes)
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- Whirl walnuts in food processor using short, on-off bursts, till almost powdery (or possibly use a nut mill to grind finely); set aside.
- Whirl chocolate in food processor or possibly blender till powdery; set aside.
- Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
- In mixer bowl combine butter and sugar, and beat till fluffy and well-blended.
- Add in vanilla and chocolate and mix thoroughly.
- Gradually fold in flour, then walnuts, till well-combined.
- Drop cookies by heaping tsp., placed slightly apart, onto ungreased or possibly parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Bake till cookies are hard and lightly browned
- (35 to 40 min).
- Let cookies stand on baking sheets for about 5 min before removing them to wire racks to finish cooling.
