Beef Cabbage Casserole
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. shredded carrots
- 3 c. shredded cabbage
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 jar herb style spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- In medium skillet, saute onion in butter until soft, but not brown.
- Add beef and cook, breaking up meat, until pink is gone. In a 2-quart buttered casserole dish, layer the carrots and half of the cabbage.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Add meat mixture, press down slightly and add remaining cabbage.
- Add spaghetti sauce and Worcestershire sauce and mix.
- Pour over top of casserole.
- Cover and bake at 350u0b0 for 55 minutes.
- Add cheese on top and bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
- Serve with tomato slices.
