Paradise Smoothies
- 1 tablespoon toasted wheat germ
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 8 ounces frozen mango pieces
- 1 cup cantaloupe chunks
- 1/2 medium banana, cut into 1-inch slices
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 cup fat-free vanilla yogurt
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- In a small bowl, stir together the wheat germ and cinnamon.
- Set aside.
- In a blender, process the remaining ingredients until smooth.
- Pour into glasses or wine goblets.
- Sprinkle with the wheat germ mixture.
- Serve immediately.
- Toasted wheat germ is a nutritious addition to sprinkle on fruit, cereal, or fat-free yogurt or to use as a coating for chicken or fish.
