Magic Chocolate Pie

  1. Melt chocolate with milk and salt in double boiler.
  2. Stir constantly over boiling water until very thick.
  3. Gradually stir in water; keeping smooth, continue cooking, stirring often until mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Stir in vanilla.
  6. Pour into shell.
  7. Cool at room temperature 1/2 hour.
  8. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
  9. Garnish with whipped cream just before serving.
