Cheesy sausageball onion casserole
- 4 large sweet onions chopped
- 14 oz coconut milk
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 tsp caraway seeds
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1 cup extra sharp cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 tsp marjoram
- 1 large egg
- 1 lb sausage, bulk
- Preheat oven 425 Fahrenheit
- Make the sausageballs.
- Mix sausage, egg, cheddar cheese, marjoram, and parsley.
- Form into small balls and bake 15 minutes.
- Saute the onions in butter.
- Add salt.
- Mix caraway seeds, parsley, baking powder, and parmesan cheese.
- Add coconut milk to parsley mixture only when you will pour over the sausageballs and onions.
- The baking powder will rise too soon if you don't wait.
- Add sausageballs to sauteed onions
- Add milk and parmesan cheese mixture.
- Mix with sausageballs with onions.
- Bake 30 minutes.
- Serve hope you enjoy!
- This would go good with rice, mashed potatoes, broccoli or cauliflower.
- I used Odoms Tennessee Pride sausage.
- It doesn't shrink
