Orange Dream Cake
- 23 cup butter softened
- 113 cups sugar
- 23 cup orange juice
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest grated
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest grated
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups cake flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup coconut flaked
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 4 teaspoons orange zest grated
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream whip
- In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
- Add juices and peel; mix well (mixture may appear curdled).
- Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Sift flour with baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
- Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 inch cake pans.
- Bake at 375F (190C).
- for 25 to 30 minutes or until cake tests done.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Combine frosting ingredients and frost.
