Apple Cupcakes
- 1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
- 24 large sticks green gum
- 1 jar (3.25 oz.) red sprinkles
- 1 container (16 oz.) ready-to-spread chocolate frosting
- 1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- 24 pretzel sticks
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 24 cupcakes; cool completely.
- Meanwhile, use kitchen shears to cut 2 leaf shapes from each stick of gum.
- Empty sprinkles into small bowl.
- Spoon frosting into medium bowl.
- Add COOL WHIP; whisk until blended.
- Spread onto cupcakes.
- Dip tops, 1 at a time, into sprinkles.
- Decorate with pretzels and gum pieces to resemble apples as shown in photo.
