Grandma Jobst's Cookies Recipe
- 1 1/4 c. all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 c. rolled oats (quick cooking or possibly regular)
- 1/2 c. each or possibly any of following: raisins, chocolate chips, dates, or possibly nuts
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Measure sifted flour.
- Sift again with baking soda and baking pwdr.
- Set aside.
- Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add in egg and vanilla.
- Beat till smooth.
- Add in flour mix and mix well.
- Add in rolled oats and chocolate chips (and/or possibly other ingredients).
- Stir till mixed.
- Drop cough by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 min.
- The cookies will be golden when done.
- Remove cookies with a turner.
- When cold store in airtight container.
