Mexican Taco Dip Recipe
- 1 can refried beans
- 1 pound hamburger, browned & liquid removed
- 1 (3 ounce.) cream cheese
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning
- 1 (8 ounce.) lowfat sour cream
- 1 (12 ounce.) Monterey Jack cheese with jalapenos (grated)
- 1/2 c. jalapeno pepper slices
- 1 (8 ounce.) jar warm or possibly mild taco sauce
- Spread refried beans on the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish.
- Cut cream cheese into small squares and layer on top of beans.
- Next, make a layer of lowfat sour cream.
- Combine taco seasoning with hamburger meat and 1/2 c. of water.
- Stir and simmer 5 min.
- Then, layer meat mix on top of lowfat sour cream.
- Place jalapenos on next layer.
- Shred the Monterey Jack cheese and save for top layer.
- Pour taco sauce across jalapenos and sprinkle the cheese on top.
- Bake 30-35 min at 350 degrees or possibly till cheese is bubbling on top.
- Cold 5-10 min and serve with nacho chips!
