All In! Chilli Con Carne - mild

  1. Mix together the olive oil and butter.
  2. Break up the mince and stir in the pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Add the oily butter to a hot pan.
  4. Add the onion, minced beef, sweet pepper and carrot.
  5. Fry for about 5mins.
  6. Add the garlic, chilli powder, cumin and coriander.
  7. Stir and fry for a few mins.sprinkle over the flour and stir well.
  8. Stir in the stock.
  9. Tip in the tomatoes, tomato puree, mixed beans, caster sugar, oregano and bay leaf.
  10. Stir well.
  11. Cover loosely with a lid.
  12. Reduce the heat and leave to simmer for about 45minutes until the sauce has thickened.
  13. Season to taste and serve!
