Beef and Bean Chili

  2. In a Dutch oven brown beef over medium heat; drain off fat.
  3. Add onions, garlic, and peppers to pan; cook about 5 minutes or until almost tender.
  4. Add the chili powder and cumin; cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  5. Add tomato sauce and water; bring to boiling.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  7. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.

  9. Mash one-third of the beans.
  10. Stir all beans into chili.
  11. Return to simmering; cook about 5 minutes.
  12. Remove from heat.
  13. Stir in the chopped cilantro, chocolate and salt until chocolate is melted.
  14. Serve topped with corn chips.
