Plums With Chevre and Lavender Sugar
- 4 ripe plums
- 4 ounces goat cheese (chevre)
- fresh mint sprig
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender flowers
- 14 cup sugar
- Halve plums; remove stones.
- Place plum halves cut sides up on dessert plates.
- Fill center of each plum half with a dollop of cheese.
- Gently press halves together to reassemble plums.
- Insert a mint sprig in the stem end of each plum.
- Crush lavender with sugar in a mortar; sprinkle over plums.
