Harlequin Strawberries
- 6 cups frsh strawberries
- 12 cup powdered sugar
- 1 12 cups rum
- 4 -6 shortcakes
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 dash powdered sugar
- Wash strawberies and remove stems.
- Slice strawberries and put in a bowl.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Add rum.
- Let stand for 2-3 hours in a cool place.
- Fold gently after 1 hour.
- Divide strawberries among short-cakes.
- Pour juices from bowl over them.
- Garnish with whipped cream, seasoned with powdered sugar.
- Serve remaining strawberries alongside.
