Harlequin Strawberries

  1. Wash strawberies and remove stems.
  2. Slice strawberries and put in a bowl.
  3. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  4. Add rum.
  5. Let stand for 2-3 hours in a cool place.
  6. Fold gently after 1 hour.
  7. Divide strawberries among short-cakes.
  8. Pour juices from bowl over them.
  9. Garnish with whipped cream, seasoned with powdered sugar.
  10. Serve remaining strawberries alongside.
