Texas Hash Recipe
- 2 med. onions, sliced
- 2 green peppers, minced
- 1 pound hamburg
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 1/4 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 2/3 c. long grain rice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash pepper
- Saute/fry in very little fat (or possibly cooking spray) the onions and pepper till onions are translucent/soft.
- Remove to 2 qt casserole.
- Saute/fry the hamburger till it is no longer pink.
- Drain fat, and add in meat to casserole dish.
- Add in the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Cover.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 3/4 hour.
- Serves 6-8.
