Grilled Taco Nacho Burgers
- 1 pound hamburger meat (80/20 mix)
- 1 cup corn chips
- 1/2 cup salsa or picante sauce
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp oregano, dried crushed
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup "easy nacho cheese sauce" recipe on my profile (or store bought)
- 1/2 cup sliced jalapenos, fresh or canned
- 1 cup corn chips, lightly crushed
- Crush the 1 cup of corn chips as much as possible.
- And place in a large mixing bowl.
- Add in remaining ingredients (except for the hamburger) and blend well.
- When blended well add the hamburger and mix.
- Make into 4 equal sized hamburger patties and place a dimple in the middle of each one.
- Cover and refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours.
- Set up your grill for Direct Heat.
- Make nacho sauce using gentle heat and keep warm on low heat until serving.
- Grilled burgers directly over heat until the juices begin to collect on the top.
- (gently rotate on the grill as needed to avoid hot spots).
- When the juices have collected on top of the patties gently flip over and continue cooking until well done.
- Remove from the grill and call a few moments before serving.
- Serve on toasted buns with easy nacho cheese sauce, sliced jalapenos and a few crushed corn chips.
