Smoky Bacon Steak Burger
- 48 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon Rite Aid 2 For $7.00 thru 02/06
- - ground chuck
- to taste salt and pepper
- 24 each smoked Cheddar cheese, cut into 1/2-oz. slices Target 2 For $5.00 thru 02/06
- 24 each egg hamburger buns, split, toasted
- 3 cups A.1. Gourmet Sauce, Sundried Tomato
- 48 each capicola ham, cut into 1/4 oz. slices
- 24 each leaf lettuce
- 8 each tomatoes, each cut into 6 slices
- 72 each CLAUSSEN Kosher 1/8 Pickle Chips
- Place bacon in single layer in parchment paper-lined sheet pans.
- Bake in preheated 350 degrees F-convection oven 3 to 4 min.
- or until partially cooked.
- Remove from pan; drain.
- Cool completely.
- Place in meat grinder or food processor; grind to form a paste.
- Mix ground beef and bacon paste until well blended.
- Shape into 24 (4-oz) patties (or shape into one patty for trial recipe).
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to cook.
- For each serving: Grill 1 meat patty on medium-high heat 2 to 3 min.
- on each side to medium (160 degrees F), or desired doneness.
- Top with 1 cheese slice.
- Grill an additional 30 sec.
- or until cheese is melted.
- Spread cut sides of bun with 2 Tbsp.
- tomato sauce.
- Place 2 ham slices on bottom half of bun; top with burger and top of bun.
- Garnish plate with 1 lettuce leaf lettuce, 2 tomato slices and 3 pickles.
