Christmas Casserole(Serves 24)

  1. Melt butter.
  2. Stir in flour and cook until bubbly.
  3. Add milk and stir until thickened.
  4. Add 2 teaspoons salt and 1/2 teaspoon onion salt.
  5. Set aside.
  6. Pour equal amounts of instant rice into two 9 x 13-inch casseroles.
  7. Pour chicken broth and remaining salts over rice.
  8. Sprinkle half of the cheese over rice; top with broccoli and chicken.
  9. Pour cream sauce over all and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  10. Bake 20 minutes at 375u0b0.
  11. Sprinkle with slivered almonds and toast under broiler.
