Mother's Bread Pudding Recipe
- 6 slices bread
- 1 tbsp. cornmeal
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 c. boiling water
- Healthy pinch of salt
- 2 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 Large eggs, slightly beaten
- Pour boiling water over bread, meal and butter.
- Mix well and add in lowfat milk, sugar, vanilla and Large eggs.
- Bake in two qt dish at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till done (when inserted knife blade comes out clean).
