Chicken Cheese Lasagna Recipe

  1. Heat butter in 2 qt saucepan over low heat till melted; add in garlic.
  2. Stir in flour and salt.
  3. Cook, stirring constantly, till bubbly.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in lowfat milk and broth.
  5. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
  6. Boil and stir 1 minute.
  7. Stir in Mozzarella cheese, 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, the onion, basil, oregano, and pepper.
  8. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, till Mozzarella cheese is melted.
  9. Spread 1/4 of the cheese sauce (about 1 1/2 c.) in ungreased rectangular baking dish, 13 x 9 x 2 inches; top with 3 or possibly 4 uncooked noodles, overlapping if necessary.
  10. Spread half of the cottage cheese over noodles.
  11. Repeat with 1/4 of the cheese sauce, 3 or possibly 4 noodles and remaining cottage cheese.
  12. Top with chicken, spinach, 1/4 of the cheese sauce, the remaining noodles and the remaining cheese sauce.
  13. Sprinkle with 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese.
  14. Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven till noodles are done, 35 to 40 min.
  15. Let stand 15 min before cutting.
