Spicy Sausage and Tomato Dip
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 23 cup chopped onion
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 4 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 14 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 12 cup chopped pitted olive
- vegetable dippers or pita bread
- In a large skillet, cook onion, sausage and garlic until browned.
- Drain fat.
- In a slow cooker, stir together all ingredients except olives.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high 2-3 hours.
- Stir in olives before serving.
