Simply Delicious Chicken & Rice

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. You will want at least a 9x13 casserole dish.
  3. You may have to adjust the cooking time depending on the depth of your dish.
  4. I use a large oval Corning Ware dish that doesnt have great depth.
  5. First melt the stick of butter in the microwave (time varies).
  6. Place the chicken tenders in the casserole dish.
  7. Season the chicken well with salt and pepper.
  8. I also sometimes use Cavenders or Mrs.
  9. Dash salt-free chicken seasoning (it will be bland if you skip this step!
  10. ).
  11. Pour the melted butter over the chicken, covering well.
  12. Sprinkle the cup of rice evenly.
  13. Spread the cans of cream of chicken on top of the rice evenly.
  14. Now pour on the milk.
  15. (I sprinkle a little more pepper on top of the milk.)
  16. Yes, it will look weird with that milk poured over the top, but something miraculous happens during the cooking process.
  17. It all mixes together and becomes this gorgeous casserole that is perfect for potlucks.
  18. If you loved Grannys Chocolate Cobbler, you will love this one!
