Lentil - Potato Burgers
- 1/2 cup yellow onion chopped
- 1/2 cup celery chopped
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cups lentils cooked, drained and mashed
- 2 cups potatoes mashed
- 1 cup bread crumbs, whole wheat
- 1 teaspoon parsley leaves dried
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sage dried
- 1 teaspoon thyme dried
- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram dried
- 1/4 teaspoon rosemary leaves dried
- 18 teaspoon black pepper ground
- Preheat the oven to 350F (180C).
- Saute the onion and celery in the water about 10 minutes.
- Combine in a bowl with the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Form into patties and place on a nonstick baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then turn and bake for an additional 20 minutes Serve hot on toasted whole wheat burger buns.
