Walnut Raisin Chess Pie Recipe

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter, sugars, flour and salt.
  2. Beat in Large eggs one at a time.
  3. Gently beat in cream and vanilla.
  4. Mix will look curdled, but this disappears on baking.
  5. Stir in raisins.
  6. Turn into pastry shell; sprinkle with walnuts.
  7. Bake on a low rack of a preheated 375 degree oven till pastry is browned and filling set in center when pie is gently shaken back and forth, 30 to 40 min.
  8. Cold before cutting.
