Stuffed Acorn Squash

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Stab squash a few times with a fork.
  3. Cook in microwave approximately 4 minutes.
  4. Cut squash in half.
  5. Remove the seeds from the inside.
  6. Place cut side down in a baking dish with water.
  7. Bake 30 minutes (or until soft) in oven.
  8. Remove and let cool slightly.
  9. Brown hamburger in saute pan; remove & drain.
  10. Once squash has cooled a little, scoop out the squash "meat" from the shell.
  11. Save the shells.
  12. In a bowl, mix meat, apple, raisins, and squash.
  13. Add seasonings (to taste) and then stuff the squash shells.
  14. (Extra filling may be placed in a baking dish.
  15. ).
  16. Top with brown sugar and melted margarine.
  17. Bake 30 minutes until top is brown & apples are soft.
